Static friction coefficient
• The power transmission between the roll and the web is effected by friction. The coefficient
of static friction specifies how great the force to be transmitted can be in proportion to the
normal force on the roll.
• Value can be entered directly or selected from the "Physical coefficients" table.

• The power transmission between the drive roll and the web is effected by friction.
• The greater the angle of wrap, the greater the normal force on the drive roll, and thus the
force to be transmitted on the web.
